Decotel 20 Gas Leak Detector

The DECOTEL 20 gas leak detector enables location of gas leaks in pressurised gas systems. The ‘sniffer' constantly samples a small quantity of gas which is analysed in a mass spectrometer. The alarm activates when the spectrometer detects the presence of the gas to which it has been programmed.

The Decotel 20 enables detection of leaks of practically any gas other than air constituents with a high level of sensitivity, using a quadruple type gas analyser or mass spectrometer.

The unit is designed for use in refrigerator, air conditioning system, and car production lines, and in general for detecting leaks in systems containing pressurised gas.

The Decotel 20 detects gases very accurately, which in practice results in other gases in the atmosphere not interfering with the process of leak detection.

Zeroing: If the gas concentration in the atmosphere increases, the operator presses the zeroing button and the Decotel 20 adapts to the new situation and electronically subtracts the base level from the total signal.

Conversely, if the atmospheric concentration drops, since the operator is not aware of this, the Decotel 20 automatically lowers its zero level several times per minute.
